Five Star Trail
The Five Star Trail is a Rail with Trail located along the Southwestern PA Railroad corridor. It is named after the five municipalities through which it passes:
- Greensburg
- Hempfield Township
- South Greensburg
- Southwest Greensburg
- Youngwood
- New Stanton
- Westmoreland County
It spans between the City’s Lynch Field and Youngwood where it connects to the Sewickley Creek Trail leading to Armbrust.
Featuring a crushed limestone surface and handicapped accessibility, the trail offers recreational opportunities for walking, jogging, bicycling, cross-country skiing and sight-seeing, as well as, an alternative transportation resource.
