Snow & Ice Removal
Property Owner's Responsibility
The owner, occupant, or tenant of every property in the City of Greensburg is required to remove or have removed from all sidewalks in front of or alongside such property all snow or ice within 24 hours after the snowfall has ceased or ice has formed. Residents are reminded not to plow or shovel the snow from their sidewalks or driveways back into the street once it is clear.
Removal of Snow and Ice from Streets
Street Department crews give top priority to treating those streets with the greatest volume of traffic, as well as, school bus routes. Alleys are not given top priority.
