Inspections
Inspections, Building Code Official, 3rd Party Review, & Health Licensing:
Under the direction of the Planning Director, Certified Inspectors perform various State required building inspections, as well as, the inspection and issuance of Health Licenses to food-related operations within the City limits of the City of Greensburg.
Plan reviews and specialized inspections required by the State Uniform Construction Code (UCC) are conducted by Code Enforcement Agency (CEA) of Jefferson Hills, PA. Most work in the City requiring inspections also requires plans prepared and sealed by a registered design professional, currently registered in Pennsylvania.

Residential Projects
Residential projects can be dropped off at the Planning and Development Office and they will be processed by a representative of CEA for plan review. Completed application(s), Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Greensburg as “Additionally Insured” with Workman’s Compensations or approved affidavit of Workman’s Compensation, and two (2) sets of plans can be submitted directly to the Planning and Development Office. The review report will be completed within fifteen (15) working days as required by the PA UCC.

Commercial Projects
Two (2) sets of stamped design professional submittal documents are required for review. Plans, completed applications and Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Greensburg as “Additionally Insured” with Workman’s Compensations or approved affidavit of Workman’s Compensation. The review report will be completed within thirty (30) working days of receipt of the documents as required by the PA UCC.
